I've gone and Friend-Locked my journal. If anyone was reading and hasn't been friended, just let me know on here, so I can do so. I'm just finally moving away from applying to jobs on a University Student Scale, so I figured it would be a good thing to do.

May the day be yours,

The Archive is currently down due to Database issues. Yes, those Databases are pesky little brats that choose the busy holiday season to throw a fit.

Further information will be posted here: http://squidgestatus.livejournal.com/
The managers of Squidge.org are working on it. I'm sure they'll have everything fixed in no time.

And i'm for sleep. The Eclipse was lovely, but I have work in 4 hrs. :)

Dear Yuletide Writer,

It's nice to meet you! This is my first year participating in this exchange, so I hope we both manage to have fun while writing.
I'm pretty easy to please. Simply the fact that someone is willing to write me a story is more than enough, so please have fun and don't do more than you're comfortable with. Hopefully I've picked a wide-enough selection of fandoms to give you something to work with.

My preferences lean towards slash. I would prefer that the central pairing of the story not be Het.
I'm familiar with or have watched/read the majority of the material for all these shows. You don't have to follow canon if you don't want to. I'm good either way.

I have chosen the following fandoms:

Nightrunner Series:
I'd love to see something from the missing years between the second and third book. Or kidnap them for a while and stick them in a different world. Like Elfquest of Flight of Dragons. I'll accept anything up to explicit, but it does not have to be explicit.

Hawaii Five-O 2010:
Danny seems rather possessive of Steve. I've been wondering if there's more to it. I'll accept anything up to explicit, but it does not have to be explicit. Slash please. m/m/m Trios, m/m pairings, etc.

Elfquest:
I love this series. It's a wonderful story-setting. Feel free to come up with something. Cutter and Leetah is one of the few het pairings I don't mind, but I'd love to see some slash from this. I really would. So, slash please? Pretty please? I'll beg. M/M, M/M/M I'll accept anything up to explicit, but it does not have to be explicit.

Bedlam Bards:
Eric Banyon, Tannim, Cory, Eric's brother, the elfling he rescued, etc. Shoot, feel free to bring in any characters from this verse since all three series intersect periodically. I would love to see Eric paired with Tannim. I really, really would. I'll accept anything up to explicit, but it does not have to be explicit.

Feel free to cross these with any of the other series I offered to write for if the rules allow it. I'm familiar with all of them and enjoy them all. I offered these:

Gargoyles (Tv Show),
NCIS: Los Angeles (Marty Deeks, G Callen, Sam, Hetty Lange)
Flight of Dragons: Could cross other charas into this one.
CSI: NY: (Danny before Montana. Don't much like their relationship, Mac, Don)
Valdemar Series- Mercedes Lackey

Things I like:

1. Happy endings
2. Slash
3. Threesomes
4. Wingfic
5. Shifter-fic
6. Fantasy
7. Supernatural
8. vampires
9. kid fic (either their kids or them as kids)
10. angst with hurt/comfort
11. get-together stories
12. long and plotty,
13. plotty
14. crossovers
15. AUs
16. Sad back-stories that aid h/c

Things I don't like:

1. Permanent death of characters (temporary deaths where the character comes back is fine)
2. explicit non-con
3. het as main pairing/relationship.
4. Unhappy ending.

And sorry I took so long to post this. I got caught up in school and just finally finished it up for the sem. For advice as to what I like try [livejournal.com profile] whiteraven1606 and [livejournal.com profile] deathangelgw or check out my lj comm where Raven and I post: http://community.livejournal.com/3_infinite_fic/

Thank you so much,
Shadow
Title: The Ivy and the Holly
Author: Saharra Shadow ( [info]nightshadow_t2 )
Written For: [info]charlies_dragon
Fandom: Star trek 2009
Archive: Sure! Just let me know where it wandered off to.
Pairings: Kirk/McCoy
Rating: NC-17
Genre: Slash
Word Count: ~1,199

Notes:I went with the romantic symbolism instead of the historical symbolism because it was better suited to the tone of the story since angsty wasn't the goal. Sappy works though.

Something about holly and ivy. Said they thrived anywhere... )

Fandom: Gundam Wing
Archive: Sure! Just let me know where it wandered off to.
Pairings: pre 1x2

Thank Yous: I offer the most heartfelt thanks to Deathangelgw, Sharona1x2, Whiteraven1606, and Triskellion for putting up with me and my insanity over the course of these stories. They were fun. Maybe I should write some more...
Notes: I wrote this for the 2010 Moments of Rapture Contest, which was tons of fun. The contest is over and I can actually claim my writings, crazy as they are.
Summary: Just why did Duo decide to risk everything to get Heero out of that hospital? What if it had to do with a heritage he'd avoided until he felt a call he couldn't ignore.

He's your Treasure. He's the goddamn Holy Grail that our kind search their whole lives for. And you've got him. You've found him. And it scares the shit out of you. )

Currently, the server is going through a firewall upgrade and is going up and down. It should settle down in a few hours at most and then it'll be back to its stable self.

May the day be yours,

Back in the Spring, during a discussion on the kirk_mccoy community, it was suggested that the Kirk/McCoy fandom should have its own archive. Right now, Kirk/McCoy stories are scattered all over Livejournal and Dreamwidth, and while some have uploaded their work to AO3, you have to use various filters to get to the good stuff, as it’s only a tiny proportion of all the stories and fandoms on there.

So, once the seed of the idea for an archive was planted, it began to grow and grow and...

...it’s with great pleasure that I announce the opening of the shiny new Kirk McCoy Archive – http://www.kmarchive.net

We would love to make the archive a ‘one stop shop’ for all things Kirk McCoy related – whether it’s slash, pre-slash, friendship, or gen where Kirk and McCoy are central characters. Don't forget trios, moresomes, crossovers (The Archivist is a sucker for these), AU's, and anything else you can come up with. We're also multi-lingual! We can accept entries in English, French and Spanish.

BUT to make this archive more than a software shell, we need your support – we’re asking authors to join the archive and to upload your stories and to encourage your friends, too. And readers, we ask you to encourage writers by leaving reviews of the stories you read. The Archive is moderated, but the moderation team is ready and waiting for your entries.

So please come and sign up now: http://www.kmarchive.net – we need you!
This is an awesome story. I rec it to anyone who enjoyed Avatar, anyone who has enjoyed The Sentinel, and anyone who enjoys both. The worlds are well blended and the characters are perfectly represented.

Title - Sensing Pandora
Author - By BrynnH brynnh87
Artist - Patt pattrose
Genre - Gen, crossover, AU, angst
Word Count - 22,600.
Warnings - Some bad language. Violence, but not graphic.
Summary - Blair is in the Avatar program and is paired with a human soldier, Jim Ellison. They find that he is Cha’la’lei (a Sentinel) and endeavor to find out what that means for them and for the Omaticaya.
Writers Notes: This is somewhere between a Sentinel/Avatar Crossover, a Sentinel/Avatar Fusion, and a just plain AU with bits of both. Some characters are more or less the same, some are a little different and some are simply made up. Any differences in this story from either Sentinel or Avatar were intentional because it worked better with the story I wanted to tell, and because my muse can be dang bossy when she wants to be and this is the way she insisted it happened! How can you argue with a muse?

And so the rain continues. Not that I actually mind. The only thing I don't like about constant rain is that my truck has issues with it. His brake system doesn't do well with rain and no matter how many times I take him to the shop and get brake pads changed or something else done that little fact doesn't change. Very annoying. I just drive really slow on rainy days unless I can get away with not driving at all. Or kidnap one of the other cars for the day.

Beyond that though I really do like the rain. I wish we had one of those porches, the ones that wrap around the house, so I could sit out there and just watch it. We kind of have a porch, but its not the same. I'm spoiled and I loved my Great Grandmother's wrap-around. Now if we could just get a good thunderstorm going I'd be utterly content. I could curl up wih my cat and listen to the sky dance the world shake.

Alka-seltzeer is a tabletized mini-potion marketed by wizards to muggles... It has to be. It certainly tastes bad enough to be one of Snape's potions. But it works! And very quickly at that.

I officially nominate Dr. Mori as most awesome Professor of the Semester. Why? Due to various things our group assignment topics weren't posted till today. Since the presentation isn't until the 30, he could have held us to it despite the short work time. But instead he extended our due date till July 7, which is awesome. I no longer have 2 group presentations and a 12-14 page paper as well as various mini-papers due in the same week.

And I'm off to Orlando. Tally Ho! I wonder which hat I should wear....
Raven wrote this.
About the oil spills
made me tear up.
It's not mean.

It's just a story
about someone she knew and
an invention he made over 20 Years ago.
how different things could have been,
if the companies hadn't said no.

It's a true story.
And that's the saddest point of all.

"Pocket parts" is the name given pamphlets used to update the contents of large legal volumes between publications. What do YOU think they should be called?

Legal Tribbles--They're as prolific as the ones in Star Trek and I'm pretty sure Klingons would not like them.
